Replaced alternator with neighbor (yesterday) and went through an 18 pack of bush whilst cursing at L brackets, rusty bolts, and Chrysler ingenuity.
Mostly a reader on here, but wanted to say cheers to this forum for the much needed help. Didn't truly start to use a wrench until I bought my XJ.
Hope you guys had a good holiday weekend.

Painted my new pitman arm, and (finally)ordered a spare rim and tire, and a basic roof rack as a temporary solution as to where to keep it.
Haven't decided yet. At 5'8" and 160, the idea of a 33" on the roof isn't exactly appealing. But I don't want it in the cargo area, and a rear mount is a pain when you're in and out of the rear (Hehe) as much as I am.

No, I don't lick fish.
Haha, yeah it's an oldie... 1996 Gary Fisher Montare (aluminum frame). My dad bought it new in '96 and bought me an Aquila (chromoly steel) at the same time. I was 14 at the time and riding a really heavy Raleigh at the time. I was doing alright on it and my dad was so impressed that he bought me the Aquila as a motivation to keep riding. I started working at a bike shop a few years later and my dad took advantage of my employee discount and bought himself a Giant XTC NRS1... so he gave me the Montare, and I transfered the upgraded components off of the Aquila 'cause the aluminum bike was considerably lighter. The Montare came with a Yellow RockShox (I think it was a Judy DL or somethign) and it had polymer bushings in it that were worn out. I had a Indy XC that I put on in place of it that had better internals and more travel.
I've got a GT iDrive that I'm waiting to fix up now.
Say what?!?!? How'd you manage that?
Think yer pretty clever don't ya!!!
