I have seen a lot of yellow Cherokees and tj's. Usually find 3 or 4 for sale at a time when searching the net. Not as common as say green or blue or red or whatever but they must have manufactured a fair amount.
I think Amber fire Pearl would be the color that was on the least amount of Cherokees. Or the people who own them just don't sell them. I've only seen one in person and that was back in 2001 and it was purchased locally. Haven't seen another in person. They do come up for sale maybe 2 or 3 a year I have found. Often 2wd. And the one I was going to buy was gone in 3 days. I was waiting until the weekend but by the time the weekend came it was sold.

I don’t know exact numbers, but it must be a rare color because I’m always asked if I bought it in the yellow or not. I’ve had people come up to me and offer money straight out for it. I love my Jeep and other than the standard death wobble and the broken ac compressor, can’t imagine selling it! Do we know how many were made?
