Normal Oil Pressure??
just did an oil change about 4 hours ago. when at idle my oil pressure is really LOW. is that normal? i dont know what the operating pressure is. and when im running it doesnt seem to pass 40 psi. it fluctuates but doesnt go over 40. i remember it used to go over 40, but now i dont know. any ideas would help.
Ps. if it helps, i used Castrol 10w30 High Millage and a Purolator Pure One filter.

yeah thats normal 40-50 cold and while driving and 15-25 at idle is acceptable as long as it doesnt run under 10 then your ok jeep requires it to have 10 psi per 1000 rpm

I run a K&N get 15-20lbs at idle & 55-60lbs 2000 rpm. I was told straight six engines always have had problems with low oil pressure by my dad he's been auto mechanic for 40 yrs now. I'm usin full synthetic 10w 40 Valvoline.
