Smidge darker than original, but looks really good.

Thanks Nitro, I think they are darker only because the original paint is faded. I might try to buff the rest of it out.
Who am I kidding, that'll probably never happen.

Those look great. How much work would you say those really were?

Well it's definitely time consuming. What took the most time for me was the body work. I'm thinking someone could do it over 2-3 weekends with the same tools I have. There's other quicker ways that can be done over a weekend but look a lil hack job. It took me 3 months just cause I never worked on them during the week and didn't work on them significantly for several weekends.

With the quality that they came out with, i'd say that's okay.

Mine are going to look like an absolute hack job. Door latches? I think you mean a set of these:

I like the way you used your mini truck skills to pop the door open. With this being so clean of a setup. Has anyone ever thought of keeping the upper part of the door that goes around the window and make it where it stays on the jeep body. At a 30/30 it would look as if though you still have doors somewhat. I understand that there would be some mods such as the door pop button cutout, getting them to where they stay attached to the body, etc. But I think it would look a whole lot cleaner. Just my two cents

jerrythejeep mentions "Doors have no role in structural support of the vehicle"
I have a two door and was thinking on doing this but I think of the flex and the doors not closing correctly afterwards. Another thing would be to install some frame stiffeners and even go the route of a hollywood top or targa top as other people may call it.

Thanks for the props.

I thought about keeping the upper part of the door and attaching it to the cab. The only issue is being able to switch back to full doors. I guess it could be done if you were to make windows of some sort or just don't care to have it always open to the elements.

I'll be doing the rear doors in a similar design but it'll be a while before I get that accomplished.

Me and my bro made some half doors check them out. Let me know if I should post the step by step process?
