I didn't see it mentioned yet so i'll birng it up. decent looking beads but a couple of them look undercut. the bead should not be beveled inward, up the wire speed just a tad. when a weld is undercut like that it looks nice but it's more prone to cracking as the material is actually thinner there. penetration looks decent from the heat marks though I'd say you're off to a good start

No worries, like i said it looks like you're doing great just throw some more meat in those beads. my rig is a desert runner so stress cracks are a big deal for me. sliding into a rock is a lot different from running into the back of someone's bumper at 60mph to get em out of your way.

I came up with this based off of your design. It's two inches wider on both sides to fit flush with my flairs and give a little extra corner protection. I also made it 6 inches tall instead of 5. What do you think? I'll be building something very similar after this semester
