If you have or know someone with a welder, you can also make your own shackle re-location brackets for free/very cheap. There's a thread somewhere in the fab section that has some pretty great info on making them. Just another option. Nice Jeep by the way, keep it up

I actually considered making some myself and it's still definitely an option, I guess it just depends how I feel when I finally pull the trigger on doing it. If I do buy a set though I will go with LII.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm far from where I want to be still. All part of the fun!

Replaced my radiator earlier this week since the original sprung a leak. In doing so I tweaked the upper transmission line that mounts to the radiator and it leaked...installed a new line last night and it's good to go now, no leaks!

I also ordered a set of 784 injectors so just waiting for those to come in. I plan to change the spark plugs and valve cover gasket at the same time.

Replaced the spark plugs yesterday and I should have done it a long time ago! They didn't look to healthy. Jeep idles much smoother and seems to have a bit more power.

I bet you noticed a slight difference with the new plugs.

Oh just a little...Just wish I would have done it earlier instead of putting it off!

Decided to bite the bullet and order some stereo equipment...Kenwood deck with blue tooth and a set of speakers. Wanted to order a setup like this a long time ago, but other things were a priority for the XJ. Didn't want to spend much on these but it should still be a decent setup.

Ordered the tubing and air filter for my DIY cowl air intake I plan to do next weekend hopefully. I came across this link and plan to do something very similar: http://www.ericsxj.com/intake/intake.htm.

I ended up ordering a K&N filter instead of the Airaid he used, same dimensions though. I will post up pics once I get it finished.

Default Nice XJ!

Clicked on your sig. from another thread to see what your doing with your own rig. I realized I have seen it a couple times before. Looks like your doing things the right way. Subscribing so I can follow your progress as you go. Keep up the good work!

Got me a set of 784s today! Now just waiting for some decent temperatures to throw them in!

Well, I think I finally found the cause of my wobble that happens in the 40-50mph range. Ordered a new steering box brace from Creepy Fabrication and should have it next week. The B. Lee Offroad bumper has the outer tie-in so I should be good there, I'm just surprised I didn't see it during the bumper install.

Fab'd and installed the cowl air intake yesterday, pics to come later this week after I paint the tubing and clean some things up. Not near as loud as I expected after watching videos of the Spectre intake.

Also installed a set of 784s this morning and very happy with them so far! Install was tricky on two, I kept tearing o-rings. Went for a half hour drive after and everything looks good. Installed a new valve cover gasket this morning as well.

Installed the beefier steering box brace tonight and no more wobble! This is what was left of the original brace...

Finished up the cowl intake and through on a small breather filter on the crankcase vent. Still plan to paint the pipe to help clean it up a bit, but functionally it's complete.

Installed some Currie johnny joints in my UCAs and LCAs today in place of the horrible RC flex joints. No more clunks!
