i probably should have started this months ago when i actually started building. well i bought my first jeep 8 months ago. i was really lucky. i tow for a living and one of my tows was a 2000 xj sport that the kid wanted to trade into the stealership for a new civic. short story long they wouldnt give him anything for it. i said 500 and he bit on it. so i scored a mint condition with an overheating problem. flushed it out real good and replaced the thermostat and now its perfect. sweet
cant seem to find a pic of it unmodded.
i had it laying around so it was my first mod. yakima loadwarrior with an extension in it. mounted on that was my hi lift and shovel

next came fog lights and cb and antenna

needed recovery points to go wheelin with my club plus i know ill have a winch at some point in time so i got these babies. painted them with rustoleum bedliner


painted and installed



found a set of 31" 11.5 swampers wrapped around american racing rims there beat up but the price was right


they dont fit right without a lift as you can tell since my flares are missing

but they look bad a$$
that inspired me to place the order for this

so i decided that the swampers were just way too loud on the street i didnt even want to take em on the highway and the stock tires just look retarded so i stole my 33" 12.5s off my bronco cuz well my jeep needs them more

yeah um actually i was going to ask 4 some advice on trimming the rear ones since its double wall back there and im not sure how to do it without screwing it up
the trail did some customizing 4 me

i read that one a few times. not sure thats the way i wanna go cuz cutting all those slits leave lots of openings for water and whatnot to make its way in there and start causing cancer from the inside out. on the other hand i have yet to figure out another way to go. i was thinking about cutting at about the same height roughly and then using like jb weld or some kind of auto body panel bond to rejoin the two pieces of metal which should make the seam water tight. at least thats the plan. but im still thinking about other ways. what is the pest way to cut the metal? i have a cut off wheel and an air saw but its kinda a piece of junk. also have tin snips but i think that would be a *****. im not opposed to buying new tools

Yeah, welding the two pieces together is a good idea. Some people do that.

just use some clear silicone to fill in the spaces, or even your bedliner you put on the bumpers. that will seal it up.

yup custom mud pinstripes really set off the look its funny how many more fellow jeepers wave when u got a fresh coat of mud

the bumpers are from www.jcroffroad.com great quality stuff and really good prices. i was so happy with the bumpers that i went back to them 4 my sliders which should be here this week
