I tried the hard line everyone else drove out before the giant hole. I had to back up and straddle the hole but we made it. Even at the 45* degree angle the XJ felt pretty stable my co-pilot and I where laughing pretty hard.

Jeep looks great man! Exactly what I'm wanting to do.. have a nice reliable rig I can DD when/if I want and be able to play around on the weekends. I had one a couple years ago, 4.5" lift on 32/11.50s and it was about perfect. I currently have a stock 98 XJ with 185k that I have about $150 out of pocket invested... if it wasn't for my truck payment I'd have already started tearing it apart for a build. I'll get there eventually. Keep at it!
I love being able to just jump in it drive 3hrs and wheel it then drive it home or camp. Coming from a trailer queen that wasn't very family friendly the XJ has been great. It still has a long way to go.

Well I ordered some 35x12.5 goodyear mtr Kevlar today should have them by Monday. Selling my 33s to help fund gears and bump stops. Still not sure if I should go 4.56 or 4.88. I do drive highway speeds to and from the trail.

The 35s are on. Took it for about a 60 mile drive and the mtr's are really quite and handle good on the road for how aggressive the they are. Cant wait to get them on the rocks.

Got the doetsch techs mounted up and added a coil spring isolator. So hopefully they keep the 35s out of the finders. Went with the longest Doetsch tech IRO had its 13.5in travel. I have 3in of up before bump then the bump will compress 1in so 4up and a little over 10 down with BPE.
My new 35s have been a big pain I've had them balanced twice already this time they road force balanced them hopefully they stay balanced this time.
Also ordered some rugged ridge flares they should be here next week sometime.

Great shocks, I've had mine since August and they definitly have made my ride a day/night difference compared to my old cheap white body shocks. I personally run the rears upside down so the body isn't prone to rocks and the shock bracket guards the piston from damage.

I only have the fronts still have to get the rear shocks. So far I'm liking the shocks and they are pretty beefy.

Went to IRO today for the NSJC open house. Got the front and rear of the jeep bump stopped before I went. Then we had a flex contest I won in the 95" wheel base class pulled off 34.5" with street tire pressure. Should have aired down.

Thanks man. I'm still a little on the fence on if I like them or not. I can see them getting ripped off in the rocks or on a tight trail. The mtr's didn't do to bad in the snow today I think my old 33x10.5 bfg ko's would have been better.
