Default A Long Island Jeep

Just renamed my build b/c I found a more suiting name.

This is my build thread for my 99 Cherokee Classic, 140xxx miles.

I got ripped off buying this thing in the first place, then it only gets worse with the things that constantly break, but as a fellow CF member pointed out, I'm hitting the 150XXX mark, so its maintenance time!

Unfortunately I've been lazy with recording my progress but I'm going to post what I have and keep up on it from now on.

So here she is stock:

Installed a 3.5" RE superflex with 31x10.50 Yokohama A/T.

Sorry I'm really low on good pictures...

The upper shock bolts broke, so we tap & dyed them out. Other than that though there wasn't any major problems doing this install.

Painted my rims:

And after the kit was done:

That winter was fun!

Then I decided that I NEED bigger tires. (I definitely don't I live on Long Island...)

So I cut my fenders:

And threw 33x12.50 Dayton A/T's on there.

Problem was I was being an anxious kid and didn't do my research and cut the seam off in the rear...

So we ended up getting some serious bonding cement/glue w/e you wanna call it, and filled it in, then covered my mess with bushwackers!

I replaced the front fenders I cut with new ones that I sprayed flat black (Kind of):

And then cut these.

Then finally fixed it all with a nice set of bushwacker flares.

Finally yesterday I installed 3/4" spacers to the front to level out my kit.

Wow, those Bushwackers make a huge opening, don't they? Still on 3.5", with 33s, and no rub? Looks good!

Actually no! I've hit them repeatedly and no cracks or tears or even weakened. My friend sat on one and we didn't lose it lol.

I knew the risks walking into these but I gotta say I have NO problems with these. I've hit the pit by me hard enough to get the tires to rub 'em (takes alot of wheeling out here on LI to do that) And they don't budge.
