Decided to make a new headlight harness because I went ahead and replaced the header panel. I figured that since it's gonna be off, it ll be easier to do the measurements, etc.
Got some ceramic h4 female plugs (2), a male h4 plug, relays with sockets (2), inline fuse holders (2), and bunch of wiring.
This is how I set up the relays and fuses
(I added black split loom after this picture)
I decided to reuse the headlamps because they were only one year old. Even in the daytime it look brighter.

Finally put another header panel on. (It's too cold to paint it nicely so it ll have to do for temporarily.
Attachment 258125
I decided to do two tone on the jeep... Most of the body still will be black but there will be some deep gray accents. But that ll be much later.

thanks.
Today was a nice day out so I decided to take the jeep to the car wash down the street to clean up the engine bay. There's oil and grease all over the block and on the trans. I thought it would be an good idea to clean the engine bay so I can see if there's any more leaks or anything. I forgot to take before and after pictures lol.
Speaking of clean, I decided to blast the spare intake manifold I had laying around. It came out better than I expected.
There's a crack on the exhaust headed, I figured it's easily repairable if I took off the intake manifold, that way I ll have plenty of room to re weld the crack. Then install the clean intake. Also perfect timing to install the 784 injectors too.
Looks almost brand new, doesn't it? Ha.

Yay. More leds arrived...
This is what I ordered. I had them on my crawler and loved how bright they were so I decided I ll do the same on this jeep too..

Direct plug and play. No modification necessary.

So I sent the jeep to be inspected last Saturday, and I really expected a long list of problems to be resolved before it can be passed.
Only thing it needed were new rotors and pads for the front. Awesome!
I ordered new rotors and pads from advance auto, installed them and went out for a test drive....
Both front wheels locked up. Apparently they changed hubs in mid 99 so there's two types or rotors for that year. I must have picked up wrong rotors. When bolting on the wheels back on the hub, it pushed the rotor so tight against the inner C's on the axle and caused it to lock up. I had to go back and exchange the rotors to right ones. (The wrong ones were for 99 or older, and the right ones were the newer style (99 and newer)
After all that's done, went back and got the inspection passed and stickers went on the windshield.
Now I can finally legally drive this jeep around! Yay.
