full width axles on xj
Hey guys im new to this forum!
I just needed some help. i just bought my first cherokee this year and have already put alot of work into it! Now i am planning on putting full width axles onto it and need help. i found a website that has some listed but i wanted your guys opinion! What kind of full width axles do i want to put on my 89 xj? what vehicles can i get them off of. Last but not least how hard it is to do a axle swap. what all do i need? do i need any kind of kit to make them work? Anything helps!! thanks guys!

wants full width axles but doesn't even know which axles to start looking at.. hmm me thinks you should probably keep the stock axles
start flipping through threads. it's a hardcore expensive upgrade, and only a handful of axles are worth a ****

same here. but at least I knew which axles I wanted before diving into a swap, gotta meet the forum half way with some google searching
it's still a hardcore and expensive swap compared to sprucing up the D30 not sure what category you'd put it in

Start with full frame stiffeners.
Add Ford HP D60 front axle
Dana 60 or GM 14 Bolt out back.
Don't forget gears, lockers, master install kits, bracket/truss kits
It's no small task...but it ain't rocket science either.
Try hitting google with "1 Ton axles + XJ"
