BIG updates coming this weekend. Well actually I could of posted the updates a week ago but I rather have the jeep back in my hands before I do so
Anthony and Zac trailed my jeep down to the In/Ky border the weekend of the 14th... Lets just put it this way my jeeps about to enter it's next stage and I have a feeling its going to go all down hill from here
Anybody want a teaser? It really won't show much but yeah teasers are cool

Around 300-350 I believe. My friend had a similar cage done but with more tubing and the tubing alone was about 260 pounds.
One thing for sure is, the jeep drives a hell of a lot better now, It handles better and everything. I never realized how much stiffeners help the jeep. I can also open/close my doors easily flexed out now.
Overall I'm pretty happy with everything that was one. One thing really pissed me off though. I explained how I needed the cage built around my seat location, I'm a big big guy (fat and tall) and these xj's are small and I barely fit in one as it is. He ended up making it so my seat could go all the way back but with absolutely 0 reclining. My stomache was almost touching the steering wheel.
I chopped out the harness bar. I need comfort over that bar this is my daily driver. If it ever goes to trail rig only I'll add it back. I'm probably going to add another brace in lower. My boss at my machine shop even said that I can do fine structurally without that bar. No pics of that though. It looks goofy but whatever I wouldn't even be happy driving the jeep at all if I had to deal with that.
It was the biggest ***** to paint it also. I brushed the whole front end, a pillar bars, inside door jams, then ended up masking off the hole jeep and spraying the roof.
Frame stiffeners, rock sliders, and slider/cage tie ins. Only picture I took
(before I cut out that driver shoulder bar)

No, I don't lick fish.
Not bad with the additional weight. Doesn't look like it affected right height really at all. I think your boss is right though. That shoulder bar is overkill and normally there on rigs that run racing seats with 5 point harnesses. I would think you'll be fine. I'm not cage builder, but that's just my .02
Looks really good and solid though man! I really want to get a set of frame stiffeners.

Thinking I'm going to paint the inner cage tractor green, Also I've been getting some stares driving around town since I got the cage. Either people are like damn thats badass, or staring at me like wtf is that? The hybrid designs remind me of those terrible roof racks some people put on JKs that go down the a/d pillars.
