Default Experience in Baja???

So the time has come to migrate south, exchanging the mud for sand and the snow for surf. Curious if anyone has any recommendations for rewarding routes through Baja? Thus far I've brought the Jeep from Kingston, WA to Petaluma, CA and plan on crossing the Mexico boarder early Feb. to spend roughly three open weeks in Baja/Mexico. The tentative plan is to drive all the way to Cabo San Lucas, then ferry across from La Paz to Topolobampo and returning north up Hywy 15 to the US boarder and through AZ, UT, CO etc. back to WA. Know of any idyllic surf spots, secluded cabanas, good trails off the pavement, and of course cheap beers that keep on flowin'? The insight is much appreciated!

Been to Bahia Gonzaga (Papa Fernandez' for cold beer and a t-shirt) on the Gulf side. Worth the trip. I went south then came back up n/ne to get there, but I hear the road from Puertecitos is a lot better now.
If you have the time, go west from Guerrero Negro and check out Bahia Tortuga and Malarrimo Beach. It's North America's only north facing beach, freakin' awesome. Difficult to get too and, like a lot of Mexico, is very risky going solo. There were 2 vehicles when I went and we had 7 flat tires between us.
