hello again ladies and gents, another addition to 98srt6.. is a rear bench to bucket seat conversions...

I know these might be cheap seats but ive seen good reviews. I plan on getting two BOMZ racing seats for the front and want to move the stock seats into the rear and later in the future get another set of racing seats..

i need advice on how to go about this configuration.. Once again ive seen it done but no write ups on what to do.. I figured id take out that piece of metal that runs across the floor board and replace it with some square tubing or leave the it there and do the same but behind and bolt to the floor and metal..
Next step would be how to get a go mounting surface for the brackets but i would prefer the seats to be non adjustable.. just recline-able.. this is the part im mainly stuck at.. if anyone has any ideas or know of where i can find write ups on it,, let me know..

Also there will be a full roll cage installed once i have the funds.. 4 0r 5 point harness.. and can for the oOo **** bars

Alright so the issue i see is the incline that occurs from the passenger seat floor boards to the height of the rear cargo floor. that is going to mean the farther back you mount your seats the higher they are going to sit. You can convert bench to bucket in alot of CARS because of the flat surface thru out the car. But our jeeps are different. THe best way to do it is to take the tracks off the seats make a flat plate on the bottom of the seat place it where you want in the back and then make support brackets for it. I would put the recliner levers on the insides so that you can access them as well.

Great that the kinda answer i was looking for.. when i did the herculiner interior i was checking the spacing between the front and rear and theres a decent amount enough to get in and out like with the bench..

So just to clarify... are you talkin about the slider bracket or the mounting bracket. may be the same cant remember.. or you mean bare bottom of the original seat and fab a plate the cover the entire bottom portion?

you can take the entire slider off from what i remember which will leave you with just the bottom of the seat. (this is recalled from memory tho) So in that case you can make a flat mounting plate which you can just drill holes into and bolt!
