Grinding noise rear passenger axle area
Hi, whenever I am turning left and accelerating I get a nasty grinding noise coming from the rear passenger area. sounds like the tire is rubbing the fender but i had someone get out and look while i turned but nothing is rubbing so I figured it is something internal.
any ideas??
all help is appreciated, thanks!

if the rear wheel bearing was shot you would feel it all the time.. easy way to check it would be to jack up your rear tire of concern and check for play with the tire on... (try pulling your tire away from your wheel well) it could be worn and going bad or it could more likely be your brake drums.. btw your rear wheal bearing has to be pressed onto your axle shaft

It has to be pressed onto the axle shaft? Every one I have ever done has had to be pressed into the housing, not saying your wrong- to OP, what axle do you have in the rear? No its a strait forward job, just time consuming sometimes. I would rent a tool from AZ and do it yourself

I have done 8.8, Dana 35, gm 12 bolt- and none of them had bearings pressed onto the shaft. They all had to be pressed into the housing itself and the shaft slides in it
