I pretty sure upper hose is the outlet so it won't suck flat.

well for some reason it was flat this morning when i went to check the oil. It never did that until today , the radiator hoses are new and have been on there for 3 months. I just want to make sure i have adequate cooling. Why do you think this may of happened?

If a radiator hose is going flat it means the hose is bad. Are you running HOT? Maybe you have an air bubble and it is creating vacum in the system

You need a new radiator cap. Yours is not allowing coolant back in from the overflow bottle causing a vacuum in the radiator therefore collapsing the hose. That is why you see it in the morning when the engine is cool.

The hoses are new only 2-3 months old , the truck is not running hot . I released the hose clamp before i drove it after the oil check. That let the hose go back to normal then i tightened the clamp back up.

Ill get a new radiator cap in the morning thanks for the info.
