My insurance deductible is $500. Have not taken to get estimates yet. From what I can tell, it won't cost that much to replace/repair what is damaged. Tilt and electrical are functioning flawlessly. No dash warning lights are illuminated. The missing cylinder was not recovered so I'm not sure if it is possible to match up a new switch with the original existing key. Starts easily with a flathead screwdriver. What would be the cheapest way to go about this repair? Matching key, as I still have keyless entry, is not absolutely necessary.

I can see I need a ignition cylinder and tumbler, but what is the visually broke/partial piece in the photos? Cant seem to find it in my XJ part schematic PDF. The tumbler sleeve??

Anyone have experience or advice before I attempt to tackle this? Thanks, in advance.

I believe as long as your provide registration and VIN#, you can get it through the dealer with your original key/lock.

What about just a basic OEM replacement? Difficult?
