Talking speedometer difference

i recently went from stock 14"wheels on my '97 cherokee to 16".how will this affect the accuracy of my speedometer and odometer?probably not a lot,but there has to be some difference with larger tires.
my daughter gave me this jeep, after she hit a deer with it.new radiator, air conditioner condenser, power steering unit and pully, grill, headlights, side and parking lights and all the fittings to hook this stuff on,then some body work and paint, bigger tires,a one inch lift and i'm good to go.also had to trim inside the wheel wells to eliminate rubbing.i had an "89,which i gave to my son-in-law for doing the majority of the work on this one, which worked out well for both of us.

Most interstates have mile markers that are dead on accurate. Time yourself between them. 1 minute=60 miles per hour and so on. You can also get a relatively good estimate with a GPS. Then you can make a note for yourself and tape it to the dash or something. HTH!!

Just changing wheels themselves are not going to affect the speedo.. as long as your tires are the same height. If you have taller tires my guess would be around 5mph off.
My 89XJ has 30x9.5 tires on it, and actually up til about 45mph my speedo is only 2miles off, above that and its 5 off. Not all are created equal.

Use the calculators to find out the easy way unless your speed odometer is not off to being with. The other way is basic math. Engine RPM, Tranny Gearing, Differential Gearing, Tire size, and MPH. There all related and can be calculated.
