key stuck in the ignition
I am new here haha. Buuuut I just bought a jeep cherokee 91 laredo 4.0 liter. It is my first car and bought it myself. Bit it is missing the right side view mirror. that is probably a spendy fix and the key works and does everything right and is full functional BUT the key doesnt come out!!!! I am super worried it is gonna cost me some big bucks to fix it or even have it looked at.

its 13-20 bucks for a new ignition with 2keys and you need to TWO steering wheel pullers to change it out autozone has them for rent for 40bucks for both and when you bring them back they give you the 40 bucks back so you will need 60 but will spend in the end tops 20bucks its not that difficult to do just fallow the instructions
if it continues to do it with the new ignition its probably the ignition switch which will just need to be adjusted and its behind the gauges on the steering coloum it will have about 7-10 wires coming off of it. its easier to take the gauges out to get to it. just loosen the 2 screws for the switch and move it back and forth to get the key out and adjust till it works its kind of a pain but you might even want to try this before you get a new ignition if the ignition switch is broken its under 20 bucks to replace but probably just needs to be adjusted

I don't know all the vehicles, but there is a park interlock cable on auto trans. It allows you to lock the ignition only when the trans, is in park. It also prevents taking the key out when out of park. It may be this.
Try moving the shifter in park and see if you can remove the key.
I drive a manual trans. so this is from memory.
