Default Rotella T6 5w-40 availability

It's just about time to do my annual oil change, and I can't find my go-to Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 oil anywhere at a reasonable price. Amazon wants $59 for a gallon jug with a 1-2 month backorder, and Walmart is flat out of it in stores or online. It appears some of my local parts stores have it for about $30 a gallon, but I'm not sure if they actually have it on the shelves. Has anyone else noticed this or had success getting it anywhere for a reasonable price?

The oil (Brad Penn) I have been using was 90 bucks for 12 qts for a long time, just jumped up to 115 bucks last week. I stocked up on six cases in the last couple months. saved enough for a free case. The big problem is gasoline, 5 bucks a gallon for 87 octane, six bucks for 91octane locally. even higher in the areas we camp and wheel at. Couple years ago it was under four bucks, We are supposed to deal with this by buying a tesla, meaning our electric rates will skyrocket. Isn't energy independence a nice memory?

Id get what ever you can in a high zinc oil, and stock up now, supply issues are a problem now for a lot of things feed the beast good oil. An alternative is a zinc additive for oil like STP in the red bottle. I cant get an oil filter for one of my cars, it is a Motorcraft Racing filter, but every one is out of stock at the moment. Crazy times.

We may be going Road Warrior soon in the search for juice for our machines!

I happened to visit my Napa a couple days ago, to talk with my old boss, and pretty sure I did see some T6 there.
Only kind of noticed it cause of a previous thread about the availability of it.
Couldn't tell you what the price was though.

Rotella has been out here for a few months.. Nowhere to be found.. And supposedly the diesel DEF fluid is next on the missing species list...It already took a price jump like the fuel but availability is next...

My buddy, old boss at Napa, was telling me about the price of spray paint.
Said this guy came in and bought 3 cans.
It was like $45 and my buddy thought he did something wrong when he rang it up.
Sure enough it was about $15 a can.
The guy was OK with the price.
The customer said that it cost more for the same thing at Home Depot and they didn't have any anyway.
I think last time I bought some it was $5 for a retail customer and probably about $3 with my discount to me.

DEF is basically urine with the water removed, so if they are telling us that the supply ran out they are lying. It's about destroying the petrol vehicle world.

I remember when my boss told me def was mostly horse urine.
I couldn't stop laughing.
Being retired from the store I have no idea about availability of that stuff anymore.
But when I worked there we used to get skids of it.
And we were a small store.
Plus I don't remember the stuff being expensive and when guys would buy this stuff most times in bulk.
5 at a whack, minimum, was probably the norm.

The 15w-40 viscosity seems to be more available.

DEF is urea based, a natural gas or coal product.
