Well, Walmart stocks Mobil 1 oil, and other decent brands...
All shopping is pick & choose. Lots of crap at a number of stores these days...

When you consider Wal-Mart buys them by the train load not just a train car load but an entire train lol. They can buy them for so little as with a lot of things they buy from vendors they can be sold very cheap as shown by there sales fliers they out.
It all boils down to how good of a filtering job they do and in their case not very good at all, small amount of filtering material not even half of what most have in them.

So.......with that analogy, one is saying don't buy Purolator, Mopar or MotorCraft oil filters either (at Walmart) because, in addition to the price being lower (at Walmart), the quality of those same Purolator, Mopar or MotorCraft filters is lower (at Walmart) than when those same filters r bought elsewhere. Really????????..........WTF?

Champion Labs will make a filter to whatever price-point/specs you want.
They even make Mopar at times.
It's ALL about the specs the company who puts their name on the filter asks for.
Why not buy from the company who makes their own filters? The company who stands behind their stuff because THEIR name is on the filter?
The ones who never sent out pieces of junk to unsuspecting buyers?

I'm kinda thinking along those same lines, but just haven't seen any specific numbers stating so. People will always find something bad to say about anything and will always have followers in droves to repeat the bashing. Apparently, Fram filters aren't as bad as some say over and over again because they seem to continue to fly off the shelves and have done so for many, many years. Buy whatever oil filter gives u the warm/fuzzies. Onward thru the fog.

So I heard to only use the tough guard fram IF you must use a fram. So my question is, without starting the argument all over again, should I finish out the next 3,000 miles on this oil change with my fram or do another change with a better filter soon? Mopar is sold near me so if like to get that one

Duma's video is pretty revealing. There nothing arbitrary or old-wives tail about it.

So........we've gone from a little friendly jousting about the possibly #1 selling oil filter in the world (that a handful don't like) to hamburgers, to derogatory remarks.......really?......where's the logic in that?
All I asked/stated was....does anybody have any oil filter sales volume numbers?......and am still curious. Myself, and others haven't bashed/flamed/name called any of the Fram haters here so why flame those that have possibly had a part in making Fram filters the #1 selling oil filter in the world. If the Fram filter design was that bad, how could the company still be in business much less possibly be the #1 oil filter manufacturer in the world. Could it possibly be that Fram filters r not as bad as the nay-sayers claim?
Again, buy/use whatever freakin' oil filter gives u the warm/fuzzies and move onward thru the fog.
Vegetables, meat and bread......the ingredients in a hamburger (even a Big Mac).....and all those ingredients r in any "Healthy Food Chart/Pyramid" as designed by doctors.
I'm going to go fire up the grill now (it takes a bit, no gas here)......how do u like your burger? I like mine medium well, with lots of delicious fresh veggies on a fresh whole grain bun......everything that's on that healthy food chart.

By sheeple, I mean the masses that the mass merchandisers target with their ad campaigns.
It must work. I'd like to see the numbers also. .
