Customer service.
Well today I called up 4wd to order some parts so I could do my Ba/10 to AX15 conversion. Mind you I all ready assembled my parts list and had all the part numbers but 1. The only reason why I didnt have that part number is because they only list cj/yj/tj parts when you go to look them up online. You actually have to read the parts description to find out if it is what you need.
So I wait for one of theit "Jeep Experts" to pick up. it went like this
4wd " This is Sherry how may I help you?"
Me " Hello Sherry, I need a flywheel for an 87 Cherokee"
4wd " Do you know what the part number is?"
Me "The website doesn't list one"
4WD "Well then sir we dont carry it"
What a "Jeep expert". I knew right there I needed to end the conversation cause she was going to be NO help at all. Needless to say I fired off an rmail to the customer service dept. I bascilly told them they lost 450 dollars worth of sales today cause of one of their "Jeep experts". I thought you only got this kind of service at the local auto parts store.

Heh yeah they are experts as long as their computers list what is needed. Can't expect much from low paid customer support reps. They rely on information from a database to do their job.

You are right but they should not call them experts if they are not experts. They should call them Low paid customer support reps that rely on info from a database to do their job.

I figured since they were a sponsor of this site.. they would at least list XJ parts in their own section.

Thats what I meant. Their ad is on this site. I figured the ads were from sponsors.

nah just google ads.. Companies go through google to have their ads cycled through the google adsense system. Our site owners use google ads to generate money. None of the ads you see are sponsors or directly related to this site.

No, what happens is you designate space google can use to place ads on your website. Google then uses software to determine which ads to put in those spaces based on the traffic of the site and its content. The company pays google, and google gives a cut to the site.

My 91-93 Mopar Jeep parts book says the 4.0 ltr manual trans flywheel is part # 5300 5524. It should be the same regardless of veh.. as they do not list specific and the book coverages XJ, YJ, and ZJ... Hope this helps.
