you can go to an auto parts and rent a spring compressor. easiest way for me. i put 2 inch spacers on mine. took about an hour. but i have a snap-on air gun that got the compressed rather fast, doing it by hand would have taken forever!

Jack up the jeep, put jack stands behind the lower control arms.

So you can let the axle hang

Use the jack to raise the axle itself

remove tires
remove shock mounts (bottoms only, but entirely makes it a bit smoother)
diconnect the sway bar
remove the coil spring retaining clip

Let the jack down slowly so it hangs freely.

Use a coil spring compressor (from local auto store) and from there its pretty straight forward.

a pry bar helps at times. also if you want alittle more room on a single side, just jjack up the opposite side and let the sid eyou are working on flew down.

Disconect the shocks and lower trackbar bolt, put jack stands under the unibody to let the axle droop as much as possible also be sure to give the brake lines. a little slack so you don't pull on them by pulling them out of the small keeper bracket,I then used some spring compressors some people have been able to do it without them oh yeah and disco the sway bar ends

Hi, Let me know how those work out. Been thinking of getting some. I also picked up some Grand Cherokee coils out at the JY over the weekend, they should lift me 1 or 1.5 " not sure then I may want to add some spacer to get a total of 2 or 2.25".
