Default cherokee engine swap

hello everyone. I have an 92 cherokee withthe 4.O. the motor finally let loose and blew. I have a 96 model 4.0 that i can get. is there any major differences between the two motors? by that i mean are the blocks n heads the same? what is the difference in the fuel and ignition setup as well? ive been told that i can use the intake and fuel setup of the 92 and bolt it to the 96. is this accurate? I know this is alot but i need to get my ride back on the road with all this snow. thanks alot everyone.

About 15 min ago i just droped a 98 4.0 in our 92.... valvcover... all the senders.... fuel injection rail.......and drilled and taped hole in rear of head for the water temp sender ... you will need a 1/8-27 ppe tap.... its a PIPE THREAD and it mist be done right...or you will hit the exhaust port like i almost did...and it goes in at a angle..

Other then that.......

now its just sitting in there.... havent hooked anything up ... its fixin to poor here in new smyrna... will button up later... if i have any more issues ... ill post them on my black beauty build page....

are you trying to use the intake of the 98? will the 92 intake bolt up to the 98 head?
