I just checked on tranny and I saw no markings on it ,it looks like the ax-15 with all the ribs on the casing ,there is 1 tag with a date on it ,on the side of it , is there a difference in them that's different looking at them?

The BA/10 isn't worth sinking a dime into.
Either find a CHEAP used BA/10 to slap in or look at the ax15 conversion.
For the record my 1989 with a build date of 05/89 came with the ax15. I'm not sure what month the cutoff was but this might help someone in the future who stumbles upon this thread.

Easiest way buy a 95 and up wrecked/blown motor donor and swap tranny and transfer case. Then part out remains to recoop monies.
