Speaking of oil filter adapter o-rings, is this the correct part number MOPAR 4720363? It shows for 00-01. The adapter was different before this? This is the only part number I've found for the full set of 3.

Also, is Crown Automotive stuff good (same part number)? I've always seen them, but never bought that brand.

Can anyone explain, describe, or show pictures of how an APN header does not fit on a 99 properly?
I just finished replacing my head gasket and I'm having an issue with the intake/exhaust manifold area making a huge hissing noise. I checked most of the bolts and they were snug. The intake slipped on perfectly and isnt sitting funky or anything. Its all flush. When i read about the issue with 99s it was that the intake wouldnt seat properly. I just want to make sure my issue isn't from the APN.

Nope. Aux fan fuse and relay are dedicated.

Not exactly your model year, but you can grab the '99 FSM here: http://cruiser54.com/?page_id=365

All the dealer tech troubleshooting and wiring diagrams you could possibly eat are inside.

I have to pull the rail to check plugs anyway, I found the meter test proceedure for the coils also. I'm going to test the tps today, found a good clear thread on that, then start looking for crank/cam sensor test threads. I really don't want to start replacing things, the crank sensor looks like it'll really be a pita to change without being pretty sure it's bad first. I need to get under there with a mirror anyway to check the harnesses for rat damage, not unheard of around here.

I have an OBD scanner, it pulled an old #3 misfire code (from heat sink problem) I erased that and it didn't come up with anything new, so I'm pretty sure it's working. The guy I got the jeep from seems to take good care of his rides, lots of new stuff on it and everything working great till now. Fuses and relays are the first thing I checked, I just put a sub under the seat before it decided it wasn't going to start, I backtracked and disconnected all that thinking I might have shorted something and blew a fuse
Is it just a code reader or an actual scanner? It's very useful to have something with a live data display. If the CPS (CKP) is good, you can connect the scanner to the PCM and watch the RPM during cranking. No RPM = dead CPS.

Also, if the ASD relay isn't energized (you can tell if this is working properly by checking for 12V at the fuel injectors), there's a fatal CKP/CMP problem.

0.5" last time I looked at Moog's site. Handy for lifted XJs.

IIRC the problem is that the runners for cyl #6 collide and prevent that end from sealing properly. I recall the fix is to grind the intake manifold slightly so that they'll both seat.
