Default 2001 injectors in a 1994?

I grabbed an intake manifold and the power steering pump bracket off a 2001 Jeep at the junkyard and plan to switch it into my 1994 next weekend..I also grabbed the injectors and plus/wires for them...I saw on the Advance Auto Parts website that the injectors for a 2001 won`t fit a 1994...Is this simply because the '01 and '94 have different plugs that fit on them?..If I switch the plugs on my '94 with the ones off the '01 will the injectors then work?....AND most importantly, would I get any benefit from doing this? (Aside from the injectors being 7 years newer)

I have heard of swapping the intake before but can't say that I remember anything about the injectors. I wouldn't think that there would really be any difference but I would be interested to know also as I have a 94 and have considered doing the same as I already have a leak in my exhaust gasket at the head. I had figured on changing them at the same time. Changing the intake is supposed to help with a little performance as far as I know.

use your old injectors. clean them first though, and use new o-rings. the 01 injectors operate at a different voltage.

the benefit comes from the ford bosch style injectors. they spray from 4 holes vs. 1 so fuel atomization is better they are a plug and play.
