The rear conversion is really simple, doesn't cost much, and if you gonna be doing it all, do it right now.

I am not bashing on drum brakes at all. Very solid platform. However, if you're gonna be in there, just do it. You'll kick yourself later. Better stopping power, ease of maintenance, and low cost to me = win/win. Just my opinion.
Nah, trust me I hear what you're saying. If I do decide to do it later, I have a lift and the tools, popping the axles back out isn't going to bother me. But I'm not going to concern myself with rear discs while the stock brakes are still up front, all at once.

But right now, priority is get the D35 out, and the C8.25 in. Paying child support on three kiddos every dollar counts, any upgrade that I don't see as vital is just pushing my goal further away.

That's a great but very spendy aquarium lol.

Jeep is running close to 230 in this phx heat. Recently flushed radiator and put new hoses and tstat in it. Today when I got back from errands I popped the (very effing hot) hood and turned the mech fan by hand. How much resistance should I have when the engine is that hot? Because my finger easily moves it.

I realized that I had some rust on the mount of the driver side seat and I figured Id just remove the seat and scrape it off

While I had the seat out I found like $3.50 under the carpet!

Then I was worried that maybe there was more rust, and again I have the week to myself so I decided to go bananas.

More in my build thread.... Im open to ideas as to what I can accomplish while I have everything out

Replace it, it's a 30-40 dollar part. It is somewhat difficult to troubleshoot its effectiveness. The clutch does wear out after time and if it's the original clutch, I'm sure it needs replaced. NAPA makes a great fan clutch for the XJ.

Went for a trail ride for a couple of hours and found I have major front coil spring issues. The front right has such a bow in it I am sure it would pop right out if the sway bar wasn't holding it in. This really kinda stinks cuz my goal was to have the lift in and ready for a bunch of friends that are coming next weekend, but it is unlikely I will have this straightened out by then...
