4x4 not workin

I bought a 1989 jeep cherokee and the motor was cracked so I paid somebody to put it in and now the front axle wont lock and im new at 4x4's need some help lol

check the vac disconnect lines

I run a Lockrite cable actuator to that front axle disconnect. Replaces the vac lines and you are positively locked when actuated. Was worth the effort and cost. Quality of the kit is excellent. I recommend getting the iron shift fork to replace the oem aluminum.
