Are stock Grand Cherokee coil spring the same length as Cherokee Coils. If I got the front coils off of a Grand Cherokee with a three inch lift would they work on my xj if so how high would it be? The reason I'm asking is because I can get a very cheap used set of 3 inch Grand Cherokee coils.
i know from first hand experience that stock grand cherokee v8 coilsprings will give you exactly 2" of lift on your 6 cyl xj. they will probably settle a little over 1 3/4. so do the math.. you might even end up with 5 or 6

FYI, coil length does not equall lift. Example i have stock spring and to different MFG 3" lift springs. 1 set of lift springs is .5" longer than the stockers the other set is a little more than 1.5" longer, both give 3.5" of lift but the longest set give a softer ride.

The RC coils are the same length as stock for a three inch lift. I just wondered if anyone tried this and new the lift height. Using grand cherokee coils from one with a v8 and a straight six. If I measure the length on a grand cherokee with coils on will they be the same length if they're on my cherokee xj if both have straight sixs?
