I have been running Purolator L30001 series filters for years. There are several versions of this filter...Pl30001, Pb30001 . Direct replacement, American thread. They are the large can, holds almost a quart of oil. Never had any issues, didn't look where they were made until this post came up and was curious.

I recently found out Wix was bought out after noticing most of their filters being made overseas slowly over the years. This purolator filter is what I will be switching to once I use up my old wix stock, bonus is I can also run the PL30001 on my Tundra.

 

Thanks for the information. I am switching to purolator. I guess we all have to take a closer look at where our parts are made for now on.

 

Back in August, I got a pack of 6 on Amazon for 50 bucks...I got screwed..l just saw them at advance for 2.50...the 10,000 mile blue ones

 

I can't imagine why you would throw the loyal customers under the bus with a cheap made filter switch-a-roo...I bought the wix filters by the case from amazon and they're still USA stock....

 

They probably have someone higher up in the company that said we can make more money if we make our products cheaper in china. That person probably got a big bonus. While customers start to go elsewhere for a good product and the company loses.
