Default Good Afternoon

My jeep has decided to act a little wonky the past few days, looking for some insight into what I should expect, I am former GM tech also just an at home mechanic.
Question is I have had my dash gauges quit onmme while driving, however, engine stays running, i am thing I have a ground, communcation/signal wire issue before getting into module swaps and reprogramming. P1686 Code set but also not kept in history.
Thank you for any and all assistance

You don't mention the model or year but the connection between wiring harness is Mopar terrible and should be checked for corrosion and failure.

The back of the guage cluster has like a plastic PCB which the harness just pushes into, the contacts can become corroded and the traces can break.
