Default Crate engine process

Recently pulled the head on my xj, 253k miles, head was done at 200k, I was burning through coolant like crazy and had no hot oil pressure, all the local machine shops are backed up for awhile and I need to get my car back on the road (it’s my daily) I’ve narrowed my search down to a few reman companies but I’m hoping someone with more experience could help with my decision, I understand that I’m essentially rolling the dice with a remanned crate,

I’ve called Powertrain products, when asked of the quality of build and internals all they could tell me was they use “oem internals and a refurbished 0331 head” the warranty is very enticing (7 year 1 million mile)

S&J engines seem to offer a similar warranty (7 year 100k mile) I reached out about 3-4 days ago and haven’t heard back since

Titan offers a 3 year unlimited mile warranty and leave some customization to the buyer like a rebuilt tupy head or a new 0331 ( what I’m leaning more towards )

all are about the same price but warranties vary, if I were to go with titan should I do a remanned tupy head or a new 0331? I’m looking to get carefree miles out of this engine and would appreciate the input of anyone who has gone this route

Well , the big plus is you're dealing with one of the most reliable, well built engines ever made.. That's why they're reusing the factory crank, rods and installing new pistons with most rebuilds as you've seen... With that type of warranty you can't go wrong just go with the one that has the best customer service with answering your questions and has good reviews...The most trouble free install involves a new radiator and accessories and some companies demand the radiator/ hoses be changed out at the very least for the full warranty so read carefully...When the military used jeeps and changed out the engines they came in a crate with the rad, hoses and most accessories already installed... In and out in no time with those....
