...ahh - one more question regarding the headliner: Before I reassemble the headliner I thought it may make sense to get some insulation / sound deadener under the roof. What do you think? If it would have been there it might not have "cooked" the headliner anyways. I fancy it would improve that long metal roof in several ways.

Do you know the wattage of the speakers and the wattage output of the head unit. Or if you have an amp somewhere? If you can't get enough voltage into the speakers it'll just not get as loud or sound as good.

All the metal looks very nice everywhere I dissasemble something which covers the metal. It looks like new.

No cord inserts found so far for the seats though.

My OEM radio just arrived. But I might made a mistake. I thought it's smart to get just a radio (because tape deck is not working anyways) - but, what do you think / know?: Can I connect it with all my speakers. Since I have the limited trim I have 8 speakers. Base trim was only 2 speakers...

Does anybody get a hand on the handhold bolt covers?:

....and one of the other side:

Does anybody get a hand on a pair of fob set (sender and receiver) to replace for the remote lock? Or can I buy just a sender and get it "learning" my existing system?

...and as you see the cover is missing, too - maybe I have the luck and somebody has it.

One last question for today: Does anybody have a link to an exterior and interior paint chart? I'm looking for the paint code for interior "tan" color. Have to touch up some parts (like the broken sun visor clip, where I could only source a black replacement). Is there something like an interior trim chart where I could find the name of the seat cover fabric insert from the 1988 Wagoneer?

Have a good day!

Markus
The covers for the handholds are unobtainium AFAICT. You'll have to just purchase a matching set of the right color to get them. I was thinking about trying to mold some up and then paint them but they're about $15 on fleabay if you make an offer.

The keyfob should have a code sticker inside it, but what the code translates to is not clear to me. I have a fob and receiver for my '92 project and did capture the pulse code at one point. You could probably just brute force it, but again, I've seen the dome style ones on fleabay but not one like yours.

Not sure about the fabric

I re-did my headliner with siless mat. infact, most of the interior got a treatment of it. Goes on pretty easy, easy to cut, just make sure you get a roller kit to save yourself some time.

Also about the radio, AFAICT on mine (6 speakers) the two front tweeters are just wired directly into the front right and left speakers with cross-overs on them to cut the bass out.

Yep - thanks for confirmation! I guess I'll get the sound deadener to the roof. Did it with my last project(on the floor) and it was an inprovement.

About the fabric inserts I just shot out inquiries to SMS fabrics and jeepheritage. Both seem to have some at least similar (for the Grand Wagoneer).

I'll get those handhold covers to a friend of mine who's doing a lot of 3d printing. Maybe he can play around with them a bit to get a good result and I'll paint them in tan. I bought the sunvisor clips from someone who printed them, too. Didn't find any available handholds online.
