Photo dump time. First picture is how the cage bolts in through the roof. Just two bolt flanges on both sides with a lot of urethane sealer. Next we have the C pillar floor plate which bolts to the wheel well and the floor. Would be a great place to tie in a shock tower. The reason we used angle and not the 4 bolt floor plate like that is to get it as far out as possible to intrude into the trunk/floor space as little as possible. Then we have the down bar in the back which is welded to the plates the no lift shackle boxes come with. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the b pillar stuff before putting the carpet in, but it's just the 4 bolt floor plate it comes with. Then we have air compressors and last but not least the new shackle angle.

Damn the ole Jeep is looking good! I'm jealous you butthole!
Love the cage and compressor mounting.
Just sold my c10 last week and bout to start back on the heep.
What's your thoughts on the stroker? Was it worth the hassle or would you go back with a stock style rebuild if you had it to do over?
Keep up the good work

Everyone seems to rave about how much extra power they make and this and that, but I can't tell a huge difference honestly. There's definitely more power, but going from a worn motor to a fresh motor I'd expect a little. Going from 4.0 to 4.6 I'd expect more, but it just doesn't seem to be there. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what, but I think I'd go with a 4.0 and a cam probably.
Been toying with the idea for a while since my ole 4.slo is showing it's age.
Think a stock style rebuild is going to my path.
May have the head worked a little and a small cam like you said.

Well after a large setback hopefully Tuesday I'll be allowed to work on it again and get the second fender cut. Had a hyphema in my right eye on Monday and have been on bedrest since then. I'm finally allowed to read, watch tv and do school work, but not allowed to work on vehicles yet. I have one more fender to cut, my 5 point harnesses came in today so they need to be installed, front axle seals (or just keep topping the front diff off), and something is wrong with my rear driveshaft so I threw the spare in for now, but I need to get that addressed.

This has been great to read through and thanks for sharing. Do have a question as to why you would have a 90 degree come off the cage to the tie ins. Why wouldn't you bring it straight down do the plates? Seems, in my inexperienced view, that would be a weak spot for it to bend and compromise the body/roof should you flop it.

Well the torque converter I put in this summer crapped the bed. At least that's the conclusion I've come to. Whines when you put it in drive or reverse, silent in park/neutral. Going to see if the one I put in has a warranty or not and if it does hopefully I can get one Thursday/Friday and get it in this weekend. I'm so tired of this thing falling apart.

Cut the fender for the cage, dropped the twisted driveshaft off an hour and a half away, picked up a new torque converter, borrowed a truck and a trailer, and a lift and put a torque converter in tonight and it's not making any noise right now. So hopefully it's good and I can go wheeling soon.
