What did you do to your Cherokee today?
When I did mine I did not realize there were some nylon washers in there. Mine were loose enough that I think there are 2 but must have lost one. Cause of the cut out part. Hardware store had some so I installed them. Factory on left and hardware store replacement on right.

Where can one get those doo dads new? I just pulled some off the back doors at the junkyard. Figured back doors get used less, but mine still pop and clunk.

My ford 8.8 rear axle just started acting strange, making a clicking noise when turning that wasnt there for the past 10k miles since I rebuilt and installed it.
I hope I didn't toast the limited slip clutch packs...should have checked it when I had the diff cover off a few weeks ago! This is exactly why I am no longer running expensive fluid in the diffs, got lucky and scored some Valvoline 85w140 for $4 a quart at Advance Auto the last time, should have stocked up but they only ever have like 3-4 bottles of the 85w140 on the shelf...

I used Valvoline 85w140 which has it already added, and the noise persisted. So I added a bottle of the Ford XL-3 gear oil and zero change. I am going to pull the cover off this weekend again I guess.
I wish the Permatex "right stuff" gasket maker wasnt so expensive, hate waiting 12+hrs for the regular RTV to cure (tried to fill it after 4-ish hrs once and had a slow leak for the next 30k miles)
