Default LED 3rd Brake Light options?

I was wondering if anyone has tried these LED 3rd brake lights for the 97+ XJ

This is the first time I am seeing them, I swear I looked in the past and didn't find any off-the-shelf options for LED 3rd brake lights.

I tried a retrofit LED and while it was bright at night time, it really wasn't that bright during the daytime because of how the factory reflector is designed. I feel like these would work better just because of how the diodes are facing straight back with a simple bowl-style reflector

(Amaon link shows all the color options, few bucks more but probably easier to return if it sucks)
Amazon Amazon

This is 100% for greater visibility so I would be choosing the red option, and probably adding some sort of brake flasher as well, my tail lights have the Sylvania Zevo LED retrofit bulbs and they are quite bright, but those bulbs are specifically designed to work with an older-style reflector, and I couldn't find an equivalent in 922 (the bulb size for the high-mount stop light).

Kind of expensive at $40 but if anyone is using a 922 LED for their 3rd brake light that is actually BRIGHT in the daytime, let me know which one you are using because the two I tried just weren't that bright during the day

Yeah man, I am curious to see if it is as bright as the stock 922 bulb in the daytime. Problem with LED retrofits is the older style reflectors can't utilize all of the output, at night they look really bright but not so much in the daytime.

This one is the same style as many OEM designs, and the SMD LEDs should be pretty bright. It looks like you might also be able to remove the Pcb board (the screws at the back) so modding it with higher power LEDs may be possible

So I got the Light(Amazon one).. Well hmmm.. Its not that good. In the day its not very bright, OEM kicks its butt.

At night its okay..but not that great. Its the smoked one, so Im sure maybe the red or clear one would be better. But not by much, the lights are not that bright.. I didnt really get any shots. It was just not worth it in my mind. Im going to stick with OEM.
