Default Does This Warrant A Coolant Flush?

Hey guys, here's an old pic I took of my water jacket when I replaced a leaky water pump last Thanksgiving. I have been wanting to do a thorough flush of the block and rad since I had the thermostat housing off and saw this, and now I finally have the time to do it. Just would like to get some opinions if it's worth doing. Does this look especially bad or just normal buildup? I've never had any overheating issues so I'd be happy to skip the flush if it doesn't seem necessary.

Yes by all means it needs to be flushed/with cleaner several times as bad as it looks. Make sure that you clean/flush the heater core as well just turn the heater to heat with the temp on high to open it up then you can do it all at once.

Are you joking?

Use some Prestone radiator flush and fill with water. Put in a new thermostat so that you’re sure it gets up to temp and drive it for a day or two. Keep draining the radiator and refilling over and over again. It will probably take 6-7 flushes to clean it up. Also, take off the upper radiator hose and stick your garden hose in the radiator cap neck and flush. Also through the heater core.
