Always a hard decision to give up hope on fixing an AC system the hasn't worked in years, but after three Alternators taking a **** it was time for a change !

The intake is made by Spectre but the word on the street is that they discontinued making it and finding one is not easy, it's routed and pulls cold air from the wiper cowl, I'm sure it's affective in cool air being pulled into the engine but it's definitely effective in sounding awesome when you get on the gas !

A company named THOR started producing their own cowl intake. A little pricey, but looks sexy.

Found a cool spot for the vacuum ball, had it behind the battery but I have plans for that spot so it had to go, nicely nestled in it's new home I like to call the mud zone, should be fine

As Im also into the mustang scene I've always had a spotless engine bay because everybody wants to know what's under the hood after you lay a beat down on somebody, but as it comes to the 4.0l there's not much to look at, even though I love the look of an inline in a RWD vehicle, it's a mess under the hoods of the mighty XJ, I'm going to semi-wire tuck and clean out the engine bay as much as possible to see how good it can look, what's one more project to add to the list !
To start I'm figuring out what wires to move around along with ditching the AC and moving all the Evap **** over to the drivers side, I'm going to paint the engine bay as I'm working from one side to the other, also found a cool little coolent tank at Napa that fits perfect next to the rad cap, it's a mess right now so more to come...

I had one of these cool round aluminum vents for a while and got the idea about getting more and using them for hood vents, but have been having a hard time finding them in aluminum but today I found some at Home Depot but they only had them in plastic, I asked the guy in the roofing department without getting into to much detail as to avoid the blank stare of confusion on his face if I told him I'd planned on drilling 3inch holes in my hood of my vehicle...as to what kind of heat the plastic could take and to knowones surprise he had no idea the heat threshold of the plastic vents, so if they fail from the heat coming off of the 4.0 then I'll find them in aluminum somewhere...once I find a nice pattern I like I'll drill away and post up my handy work !
