Glad to be the first then cleanrob! I'm really not a fan of how it stops with 35s, especially so with any real load aboard or when the transfer case is in low.

I'll try to document it well, but there shouldn't be much of any difference between it and any other D30 front ended Jeep.

Mist people do the wj knuckle swap(like i just did) i always wanted to do the vanco kit since i already had one ton steering, but i went wj since most parts could sourced from any junkyard or parts store in the even of a catastrophic faliure

You should stop pretty darn good with that vanco kit tho, even with 35s, i can lock up my 33s now with the wj stuff, i couldnt do that when it was all stock

Thwres an australian kit that i wanted as well that mount using the unit bearing bolts but they wanted like 400$ to ship it

Psh.... I spend enough money on parts, that for shipping a BOX, not a pallet/crate is just too much.

Well, while I was moving the Jeep, I found a steering line leak, valve cover leak, and thermostat is acting up.... so I requested a box of goodies from RockAuto.com, and in the meantime I installed the Trucklite LED headlamps.

New TruckLite Headlights are in!

Well it's been a while since I shared anything on here, but progress has been slow. Between work, school, and family the Jeep has taken a back seat for over a year. I did finally pull off the front axle a couple weeks ago, and it is now sitting ready for the cutting wheel to strip off all the stock hardware...

Then my wife persuaded me to redo our closet... so the garage became a woodshop and of course hasn't fully recovered yet. I still have to build the drawers she requested, but that should be a fairly quick ordeal once I get my hands on a table saw...

I'll post another update when I make some more progress.

Glad to be at it again.

You wouldn't believe how much grinding and pounding it takes to get those Inner-Cs off of the tube, but it will be worth it to now be able to sleeve the tubes in 3" DOM tubing. I haven't fully decided how I'm going to get it on there, but it will likely involve way too much cutting and welding. Plus I want to work around the stock upper control arm mount if possible without actually removing it. Probably will have to do some sort of ugly clamshell trick with the tubing and have super long welds... oi. Nothing like welding a 1/4 butt-joint on the longitudinal section of tube. Not to mention the plug-weld holes I'm going to have to drill out and weld on. With school back in session, it's going to be hard to find time, but I'm determined to plug away at it.

Haven't had a chance to really use them as the Jeep hasn't had an axle since I put them in.

Actually, as a matter of interest if you need to do a ball joint removal, just take off your Inner-Cs. Both of the upper ball joints simply fell out while I was "tapping" on the Cs with 4lb hammer. I wish I didn't have to work this week and could just hammer away at this project. Then again, I couldn't buy the parts without working so...
