Even came with new plastic to hold it up. I use those washers, where I can, between the mat and the plastic. Makes it easier for getting them out with my door panel tool. Those were kinda rusted from using them with my old mat. Put those in the Evapo-Rust too. That stuff is great. I just keep on pouring it out of the jug in to a container. Let is sit overnight and pour it back into the container for the next use. Figure sooner or later it will lose its potency. Plus that front skid that is already POR 15'ed. I am just going to hit the washers and tie downs with some paint. See how they hold up. Hung up the front ambient temp sensor for when I do the overhead console. Stuff is getting recovered and figure I will have it back this week. No idea when I will do it though.
Is that mat really needed? Mine has been out since I fixed the trans line leak last year.

Mine had decomposed over the years and I eventually took out what was left hanging

Depends on what you do with your jeep. mines been out for years but when I hit mud pits, everything gets dirty. I have a license plate as a shield for my alt and it does.a decent job. I haven't had issues having it off for all this time and I'm.constantly driving through puddles and such.

That was a one-year-only special order color called Lime Green, 1976. That truck is one of my Top 10 favorite Jeeps that I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I didn't notice your Cherokee because I couldn't stop staring at the truck

I was across from that one, and down about a half dozen to your right

I got a replacement pinion yoke for my D30 and ordered a new rear bumper and tire carrier for my YJ. Fishbone Offroad (out of Ohio) was offering their sale price at the show, plus 10% discount, plus free shipping, and a free t-shirt. I paid $352 for a new carrier, shipped to my door. The one I'd been looking at its over $800, so I'm a happy guy

3/4 of it was there when I bought the '00. Came across a dirty one in the boneyard that was whole but not in the best of shape. so I put that one on. Used a whole can of Gunk to clean it. As I was cleaning it was thinking the original one is no where near that dirty. Made me happy. Minimum leaks. Then I found the new Mopar one on Craigslist. Figured it was there in the first place. Screw it. Use it. Learned a very important lesson today. When you are 59 years old and not in the best shape to begin with do not hang a front skid by yourself. It is up with the mat but whoa. Gas tank skid was easy cause I could balance it on my jack.

So I finally button everything up. Get the battery tray back in and the battery. Go to start the Jeep, hasn't ran in about 2 weeks, and there is this loud screching. Alt froze up. Funny thing is the reason I decided to remove and reinstall the battery box was so if and when I do the alt upgrade and better battery cables I could access it from the top. You have to remember I have a front skid now so down below is out. I had grabbed an alt out of a '00 Xj at the boneyard about a month ago and brought it to my guy to see what he could do with the amps. He thinks he can pump a stock XJ alt up to about 150 amps. Before you tell me to get a GC or Durango one my objective is for it to be a straight bolt in. Anyway so I had it lying around and decided to see if it worked. No idea one way or the other. Well it does. Going to put away tools, shower, and take a ride. With my fingers crossed.

started hearing something clunking around in the front end this morning.

turns out my sway bar, with out me knowing somehow, rammed into the wheel well so hard it bent the drivers side sway bar tab on the axle about 15 degrees toward the passenger side, and tore up the grommet that keeps it from wiggling side to side on the pin.

i more amazed my welds didnt fail since the tab was 3/8s plate welded with a 110v welder

This is happening on my 98. Thank you for reporting this as I thought I may just be going crazy. Mine will come and go intermittently and usually happens after a significant rain storm. It will reset itself after a few minutes if I use the passenger door lock only, then the main drivers side switch works as normal.

Did your repair actually fix the problem?

Lol, yeah I knew they we're in rough shape, but didn't realize they were THAT bad. Time to go!

Thanks man, long day, but it felt good to get a good chunk of work knocked out.
