Decided to take a drive up Azusa Canyon in the Angeles National Forest between college classes and drove for about 45 minutes when I decided to stop and practice my sketching. I lost reception 15 minutes before this stop which made this spot so blissful. Plus I had just installed a new transmission and was doing a bit of stress testing. Only thing that broke was the plastic pushnut that connects the shift linkage to the arm on the transmission. Guy with a modded JKU pulled over to help me out. And I keep zip ties in my Jeep at all times for a reason!
This guy in an old Volvo flew by me continued up the steep hill like a bat outa hell! Major respect to that guy. Can't decide if I like this angle, Or this angle.

Dude you went there without me! Let me know next time you go. I have been dying to go back there (the offroad park). Its a fun little spot.
Thanks! It's only about 12-18" at the deepest on the line I took, but I scouted my line before I attempted it. There are some 5-6' deep spots in there too.
How did you scout it? Visual inspection, or some probing? In my area the water is typically too murky to see the bottom, even when it's only 1' deep. I hate to walk through deep water. Sorry to say I am having trouble identifying the depth of water before trying to cross it. I've backed out of a couple spots after they get deep quick.

haha for sure! I don't plan on any serious mudding because my Jeep needs some more work done until she's up to par. PM me your email and I'll let you know next time I'm around there! I spend a lot of time in Pasadena for college anyways!

Little bit of all. I grew up playing in that section of river, so I'm pretty familiar , plus I was wearing my muck boots so I gave it the ole foot test. I was mainly worried about getting hung up on a rock.
