I now see that it says "for 3 inch to 5 inch lift only" and one reviewer says they're a little tall even on a 4" lift but other reviewers say they're fine
I have a 2" lift
Will I be OK with these or do you think they will raise the sway bar too high? I'm also thinking about putting together my own quick disconnects with parts from the hardware store, should be easy, right?
I wouldn't recommend changing them for 2". Basically overkill for your application but cool. If you would want to improve you steering, grab a v8 ZJ tie rod and maybe change out your aluminum steering box spacer. If you up size your tires make sure your track bar is solid to avoid death wobble.
The above link is to the installation instructions for the JKS Quick disconnects. In the instructions it shows how to set the length of the end links for ideal sway bar angle. I would suggest you install yours and check the angle. Also check the clearance between the end links and springs. If the links are too long it may push the end link up against the spring, or drive the end of the sway bar into the wheel well when it flexes.
You should put your location in your name block. If you were local to me, and I were in town, I would cut them down and weld them for you. It would be about a 20 minute job to cut them shorter and reweld them. If you can weld or know someone that can, I would suggest that route if you want to go the cheap route. If you want to spend a bit more money, I would suggest the JKS Quicker Disconnects I linked to. I have a set and love them. Well engineered.
Right now I can't get the bolt and nut off where the sway bar link bolts to the axle. I MAPP torch, PB Blaster, tried 18v impact driver, and a breaker bar. The breaker bar slipped off and I smashed my pinky into the pavement so I gave up. Will cut it off if I want to replace or just leave it. It needs new bushings though so not sure what to do. I'm also on a time crunch as my trip to Colorado is in T-8 days.

Agree but looks from his pick that the bushings are shot and hardware is effed so he can't just change the bushings. Based on the pic I would cut off the old crap and install the new ones (don't look too long to me) with new hardware.
