Was going to replace my exhaust today, but all day and all I have removed is the rear most tailpipe hangar. Damn Ohio rust belt bs. Every bolt isn't a bolt anymore. Straight up melted by rust. I may abandon ship and pay an exhaust shop to do this.
I am not 100% certain, but I am pretty sure it is the Aries. There are a couple of others that are nearly (or completely) identical to the Aries (perhaps they had resellers with different names, not sure). As for the mounting hardware, if someone already has tow hook brackets, then the only hardware needed is 4 large bolts, nuts, and 8 washers. Unfortunately, my XJ didn't have tow hook brackets, so I had to order those separately and install them before I could put the brush guard on.
Thanks for posting that. I am going to be putting factory tow hooks in the Jeep. Many times on Craigslist when brush guards do come up the hardware is missing. Thanks to you now I know I don't need it.
I can't speak for all XJ years, but on the 96 the tow hook brackets will basically have the mounting holes 36" apart. So if you go looking for brush guards, you can check with a tape measure, and save yourself the hassle of dealing with it.
Not talking about the INSIDE of the radiator. Talking about the fins... the part the air MOVES through. When that gets clogged, you can put whatever number of fans you want in an attempt to pull air through and it won't be enough.
Today I thoroughly cleaned out the fins. I sprayed them out a few days ago, but its amazing how much dirt was in there before a good cleaning. I made sure the water went all the way through. Drove across town after doing that and didn't have to kick both fans on at all
New driveshaft from Adam's is about to go in. Old one was too short as you can see. All I have to say is that the customer support from Adam's is by far the best I have dealt with. Rare thing to see these days. 110% recommend them for your next driveshaft.

I probably should've gone with them... I think I still have a vibe in my front shaft from tom woods...

when i get a 'new" car i cut a piece of screen door screen to fit in front of the rad to keep out debris, junk. and i dont do much off road.
clean it once a year or more. clean rad b4 adding of course.
in mid/late afternoon driving west i get blinded by the sun over the mirror. visors do no good. even a car with visor extensions dont cover that usless space.
so i cut a strip of "ice dam" from a roofing job and stuck it above the mirror, then razor cut it to a good size . i dont miss the view of nothing!!,
but the sun!
ice dam is super sticky buy i had to press it 2-3 times to get it right.
I wasn't getting any sound out of the front 2 speaker &, passenger & back 2 windows could only be controlled by driver controls. After watching a good video on YouTube that showed exactly how to fix it, I did it &, they work perfectly now! Soldered the 2 broken solders inside the Driver's control panel for the safety lock button that had crackes in the solder points &, repaired the broken front speaker wires in the door boots that run the front 2 speakers. (Apparently very common)! Now, all power windows work from each control &, the front 2 speakers as well! Now just need to upgrade the 6.5" speakers to some that actually sound good.
Started on pulling the head. Goth the manifolds off and the head involved. Tomorrow I'll pull the head off and take it to my machinist to be checked and likely have valves and lifters out in it.
also going to put my new lift on while she's down. So when she's done she's good to go.

Yep I say you should have. Great people over there. I put it in and went for a drive. The odd 15-25 mph vibes are gone. Havent gone over 45 mph so cant say the 70 mph vibes are gone. Does not clunk betwern shifts anymore either. Overall, all better. Leave it at this...
