Haha, it's a disease. I originally wanted a 3" short arm lift with 31's and otherwise stock. I'm currently on 4.5" with long arms. 32's and armor and chomping at the bit to re-gear and go to 35's. After you've had your heep for a while you realize that no matter what you do to it you always want more. A true Jeep project will never be finished.

Finally got everything back together, and got the jeep loaded up for a few days of scouting deer. Ugly ran great and no issues with the re-gear so I'm happy with that

She's come a long ways. I'm extremely pleased with how this build has turned out. Finally got around to installing the TNT long-arm kit and belly skid. Pretty beefy system-
Spent a few moments to get all the proper dimensions in front also. Wheelbase restored to 101". The RE short arm kit doesn't have adjustable lowers, and as the rig went up the axle came back. It was way bad. Also got the front axle centered right. It was off 2.5" to drivers. Just need to snug the bolts, drop it and torque it.
Guess who's wheelin' this weekend........

Looking great!
Looks like you need upper control arm bushings on the axle end...

True that- it looks pretty bad.
Took her up Maple Springs Rd today to Saddleback Peak. Roads been closed for a few years after a fire ripped thru there. She ran great and it was nice being up at the peak after a few years

Finally got tired of the rattle trap up top and yanked off the rack. I liked how it looked but it rattled all to heck-
Ya I know most these pics don't even show the rackless top but I liked them so I posed them anyways

Today I'm replacing those worn out axle side upper control arm bushings. I purchased the Daystar set- took me a minute to figure out they're replacement inners only and the metal shell remains. Got one done already over the pumpkin. Used a hole saw to remove the old bushing which was pretty simple. Removing the leftover though took a minute. Cleaner you get the shell the easier the new one sets into place. Time to head out and tackle the other side.

I did the same replacement when I did mine. Was doing ball joints at the same time and use the press and popped the old out and new in on both sides in 40 minutes

Figured hole saw method was worth a shot and it worked pretty well. Second side went much quicker- Used the press to install the new ones that went in like butter
Now for the great news: DANG!! what a difference! Ride is much quieter and seems tighter.
Saturday is our local deer season opener, so I've got Ugly all prettied up today and ready for the weekend. Headed out in the am
