well.. I replaced the valve gasket cover two months ago and I did check it again and there's no leak or no loose bolts there. I just cleaned the underbody, what a freaking mess. I should be able to see where the leak is coming from now.

If you haven't done the Oil Filter Adaptor, it's got to be a prime suspect.

I bought the Fel-Pro gasket with the handy little stud clips for $29 at O'reillys. They want $18 for the Rear Main Seal.

After I got my WJ on jack stands, it took me about 45 minutes to pull of the starter and oil pan.

Now once you're that far, the rear main is just a few more bolts away and tapping it out carefully.

If I could get $900 for that I'd do 3 or 4 a day.

When I was 16 my Dad told me, "If you can take it apart, you can put it back together.".

Everyone should know those words. They will save you tons of money.

Man, old thread here but I can tell you two things. Cruiser is right the leak is the oil filter adapter. Changed mine last week after the valve cover. Took 2 days to get a T60 setup that would work, grinded down a t60 bit and then the ratchet wrench from home depot worked with a cheater pipe. From what I hear they put that on wit red locktite and I believe it. That said, not a drop of oil leak since.
The other thing I can tell you is no matter how many times they told this guy it was the oil adapter leaking he went right into the rms like he didn't even hear it. Live and learn.
