Default wife's replacement jeep

My wife had this jeep for years and it spent alot of time in the woods.

Last fall I decided not to put it on the road for another year because of rot and since she had to have the same jeep, I built her another one out of this rust free, 102,000 2wd jeep. It looked like this when i started.

After that it was a 4wd swap and color change with the paint code off her old jeep.

I love my wife. A lot.
But nowhere near enough to replace a car so completely, that it has the same color.

Here it is when it came out of the paint booth and the old Jeep sitting behind it.

Lifted it 5in and put a big cut on the front and rear. Built a cowl hood and a front bumper.

Then topped it off with her choice of headliner material.

This is how it looks finished

I've been giving the old jeep a good workout this summer in the Bear Wallow trail system in WV... It might be rusty but it still climbs like a Billy Goat...

I'm working on a offroad teardrop now that matches her DD so we can go primitive camping and exploring.

Nice work, and I am looking forward to seeing the progress on the trailer. Thanks for the update.

^^ X's 2.
Any plans for the J-10? I LOVED my 77. 9" of lift with 35's and highly modified 360/T400/Quadratrac. Would roll at 110mph with a set of 1ton axles and H1 wheels N tires in the bed. lol.

Any info on the cowl hood?? That looks really clean and I'd like to do that rather than the hood spacers I've got now.
Super clean Jeep, hope the wife enjoys it.

Im still gathering parts for the J10, My DD truck is getting old and I hate to spend 15,000 bucks on another one just to run around town in... So I'm gonna put a 4.0 with all the fuel inj on this truck, and make it my new DD. If I'm gonna spend a bunch of cash on a truck it's gonna be a jeep...LOL

On a side note, we had a great day mud racing today. My wife runs a MJ in the mud races and finished today with 3 firsts and a 2nd. She loaded a lot of Small block chevy's on the trailer with this little truck today......
