Took me all day to figure it out. Purchased the Wraith Rock Racer. My little boy is going to be upset when I do donuts around his Redcat Everest and then drive over it. http://www.axialracing.com/products/ax90018
I just unboxed and tested the Redcat Everest. Holy crap it is fun!! This old dude likes toys, lol.
Seems like a very good $135 spent. My six year old and I will be having much fun. I have the Wraith on order and have a Maisto 1/16 crawler for the wife,

Woohoo!!! Toys for the whole family! Tryin' to win dad of the year or what?
Just ordered an Axial Jeep Nukizer body and some Yeti 2.2 Krawler tires on beadlocks. Going with a mean military look. Olive green and some stickers with the big wheels. Shipping says the wheels should arrive first so I'll have to see how they will work with the deadbolt body. Excited to change the look up!
1960's era Jeep, sweet! Have not seen that one. I was planning on eventually getting the Spawn body but may have to go with the Nukizer.
My Wraith will be here tomorrow, it's a b-day gift, 45. Been having fun with the Redcat Everest. My little boy has been driving it for two days in the house (raining), from the moment he wakes up until the wife says "enough" around 7pm.
Tires for this rig are not cheap at around $60 per set.
Edit; I just figured out that Jeep body is not for the Wraith..

Yea i'm going to make the yeti 2.2 tires work with it. I paid around $40 shipped for the beadlocked wheel/tires and the body was $50. I'll post up pics when it gets here! I know the front and rear bumpers are bolt on which should give it a nice military look when the bolts are painted over. The tires to body lift will look something like this

The stock yeti tires are going to be huge on that body. In my opinion, those 1.9 Flat Iron XLs look great on that body. The falkens from the yeti are gonna be .75" larger

After looking more into it, I agree. I requested to cancel the order. I'll run the body with my 1.9 Trepadors.
Edit: They have already been shipped so I'll just have to see how they'll look when I get to that point, still thinking they'll look BA

I recently decided to jump back into RC with a Tamiya F2012 and a castle creations brushless setup. I used to race a Tamiya FWD civic and had always wanted to build one of their F1's. I can't believe how fast these new brushless setups are! Thing probably does close to 80 if I can get it to hook up.
I'm definitely going to need to get an offroad buggy as well to enjoy on surfaces that are a little more "un-prepped" (looking at the vaterra twin hammers kit).
Got the 2.2 Krawlers in yesterday. They look great and the beadlocks are awesome. I tried them out with the deadbolt body with the body mounts raised one hole. They rub too much for my liking without trimming the front but they'll be perfect with the Nukizer body.
Nukizer body showed up today. It's better than the pictures show. I can't wait to work on it after work. Planning on cutting and painting it tonight. Mount it tomorrow.
So cutting these bodies isn't as easy as Youtube made it seem. Never is... I got the body painted and put it on. I need to bolt the fenders down. I used shoe goo as I read a lot of people doing that for clean fittings but it actually hurt the paint and the goo is showing through the paint. I've already put he stickers on so i'll probably just say screw it and let it be. I do have to stretch the wheelbase in the front though. The rear tire is exactly in the middle where I want it but the front is too far back. Some traxxas ends and thread rod will fix that cheap. Also being new to this I was dumb and took the film off before washing it out so I got overspray on the outside. I just have to use some paint thinner and a rag to clean the windows off. But i'm really liking the body so far and can't wait to have it trail ready.
Great. Just realized I put the front clip on reverse, should be under not on top of the center body. I've had enough of this bs, I'm deciding on ripping it apart and putting it back the way it should be.
