Hey guys I'm from troy il. Just across the river from stl. Just finished up my Cherokee lift and I'm looking for somewhere not to far from home to break this thing in! Anyone know of somewhere in my area? I'm new to sight just wanting to see what's out there.
You guys should check out MidwestJeepThing and JeepingMidRivers on Facebook, both those groups are really active and have trail rides constantly. Nice looking rigs.
I'm a long time STL resident, ex wrangler owner (1993) and new XJ owner. Just picked up this 98 limited last weekend. 180k miles. Its got everything including the overhead console. Very clean, but needs work as they all do.
Its in the shop now getting a new rear (67k miles on it), and some other stuff to pass inspections etc.
Going to be adding stereo, viper remote/alarm/entry
Looking for some tires...
Anyway just wanted to say hello. I am out in the Ofallon area around highway 40. Recognize some of these rigs.

Midwest Jeepthing has two events in March. The Intro to Off Roading Run on the 12th at the old Sayersbrook Bison Ranch in Potosi, and March Madness on the 26th at Wa****a, which is just south of Farmington. Go to the Midwest Jeepthing group Facebook page for details, or midwestjeepthing.com.
I joined MWJT through a contact on this forum. March Madness is awesome, and I LOVE Wa****a. It's not open nearly as much as it used to be, so I jump on every opportunity to get down there.
94 Jeeps showed up to March Madness!!! Our next event will be at Moonlight Offroad on April 9th. For more details, please check out midwestjeepthing.com and/or Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/1132773376773720/
I am looking for Stl. and other Midwest XJ/MJ owners to join our new F.B. group!
Even if you aren't local, join us to talk tech or share build threads, tools, trip reports or whatever! Feel free to share or invite your friends even if they drive other models. https://www.facebook.com/groups/860449177422646/?pnref=story
