4 wheel drive light

4 wheel drive light
Can anyone tell me why my full time light stays on all the time??? four wheel drive seems to work fine but the light stays on. This is a 2001 Cherokee sport XJ.

Probably a short in the switch or the wiring. It's a simple circuit not controlled by the computer. (Mine doesn't work at all. One of these days I'll have to get around to fixing it, but it's not exactly a priority.)
